"Effects" Part 1: Boots

With regards to the lovely Captain Jack Sparrow, we have compiled a post of infinite proportions all about accessories - so infinite that it will have to be a series of posts! Yes, our first series! It is with a heavy heart that we return to this project, because we lost our original draft. We hope to make it better and still retain its awesomeness at the same time.

Now, as we mentioned earlier, we dedicate this series to the man who immortiaized accsessorizing: none other than Captain Jack Sparrow! As he said, "Not without my effects!"(click and go to 0:24) From his bejeweled dredlocks to his classic pirate boots; from his infamous hat to his magical compass - it's undeniable that the good Cap'n knows how to accessorize! Because of his shining example, we have created this series of posts to salute all men whose "effects" greatly "affect" us! Our first entry? Boots!

Of course, it would be a shame not to begin with the man himself - Cap'n Jack!

Check Jack out here - not only does he have the garb and accessories down, but he has mastered the ATTITUDE, which is essential for a complete look! Work it!

Rio has always wondered how one is supposed to bend in such high boots, but she concedes that said boots are EXTREMELY stylish and hopes that someday, when her prince comes, he will have awesome boots like these.

Returning briefly to the pirate theme . . . Will Turner!!!

Awww, poor Will needs help getting his stylish footwear back! See, that's just how important the right accessories are - women will flock to you and steal them! Great job, Will - brilliant!!! (Rio greatly desires to add a comment about the hotness of Will's bandana, but is forcing herself to refrain until a later entry.)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Vi and I have been discussing the pro's and con's of James Marsden as of late. Poor guy - almost every movie we've seen him in, he either dies, gets dumped, or both! :( Well, maybe being included in our blog will cheer him up. :D

Alright, alright, so the poofy sleeves are a bit much. But the boots are cool! And he appears to have great balance!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Come now, do you really think that Rio could endure a post without mentioning William Moseley?! Perish the thought!

Vi also cannot survive an entry without making mention of a certain Scottish hottie, who just happens to play a certain infamous, masked man!

Ah, yes, the Phantom's sense of style is undeniable indeed! And he even keeps his boots shiny! SWOON! Lovely lovely lovely! He has all of the perfect accessories here!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Our final focus of the day is none other than Hugh Jackman! (That'd be the hottie on the left!) Vi tells me that Kate and Leopold is a fabulous movie that I simply MUST watch sometime! I have recently introduced her to X-Men (all 3!), so we are both on a bit of a HJ kick! Ha ha - kick! Boots! Hee hee....hee hee....hee...........................hey, laugh! It was funny! :P ;)

Happy White T-Shirt Day!

Hello, faithful followers of the splendidly scenic! Rio here. Vienna has informed me that the other day was White T-Shirt Day! And since no holiday should pass without some form of celebration (no matter how little-known), I just had to post something to commemorate such a momentous occasion! So, without further ado, enjoy this fantastic ode to white t-shirts (and those who wear them)!

Up first is the dazzling William Moseley, who doesn't need any fancy threads to look dashing! If Vienna was here with me, she'd make some hilariously devilish comments that would have me in stitches, but she isn't, so I'm just going to have to imagine them instead! *sigh* That face! Those muscles! That expression! *melts* . . . Isn't White T-Shirt Day the greatest???

And now the equally (well, Vienna would poke me and say "not quite equally") fabulous Ben Barnes! But Vienna is not here! Mwa ha ha ha ha ha! Lol, just kidding! Anyway - lovely Ben! His dark silky hair contrasts with his white cotton t-shirt, mirroring the dichotomy between good and evil. Er . . . I mean, the interesting and irresistable personality of those characters who experience great conflict between their light and dark sides! Um . . . okay, never mind. Let's just leave it at: he looks hot. Okay? Okay. Glad we all agree. Moving on . . . .

Last but certainly not least, we have the ever-wonderful Orlando Bloom! Now, granted, there are FAR better pictures of him than this one, but I was going for a theme here, so don't get snippy with me! Just enjoy the view. Are you enjoying it? I'm enjoying it. I mean, come on! Even if his hair isn't long and amazing like Ben's, and even if he doesn't have the super hot eyes and expression like Will . . . he's still gorgeous, he still has an accent (I Heart Accents, people!), and he still has muscles! And we all know that he has other, more perfect pictures with better expressions and better hair and better eyes, anyway.

Well, that's all for White T-Shirt Day! *sniff* I can't believe it ended so quickly! *bursts into tears* *falls on the floor* *weeps uncontrollably* Oh wait . . . I can always come back and relive the experience! Yay! *sigh* Life is good! . . . Just like these pictures!

I concur!!!! Oh my! This holday deserves being celebrated whatever woman (I'm sure it was a woman) who came up with this was brilliant! I do have to comment! Its just too amazing to pass up!

Did you know that wearing t-shirts in public became popular after celebrities such as Jackie O and Marlon Brando wore them? Now if you will just refer to the picture below... Huh, no wonder white t-shirts became so noteworthy that they needed their own holiday. Marlon Brando... "Stella!!! Hey Stella!!!" Need I say more?

And there would have to be only one person I add to the list of white tshirts....

Mark Ruffalo, sure its not a t-shirt...but its white, so i'm making it work. Did we miss any amazingness Rio??

Ah, yes, quite lovely indeed! We probably did miss quite a few people . . . but it would take quite a bit of time to track down pictures of everyone on our list of hotness in white t-shirts!! ;) However, there are sure to be more . . . so stay tuned!

Black and White Pictures

Everyone always looks so much better in Black and White.....What do you think Rio??


Absolutely! Black and white is classic, and classics never die! That's why they're - uh - classics! In that spirit, well . . . enjoy Billy Zane! I must share with you what I told Vi when she showed me this picture. Look at those eyes! Look at that scruff! (Vi adds: I bet it tickles.....! :D) Look at that (presumable) physique! *sigh* Life is truly good. :D And beautifully scenic...























And directly from the Scottish Highlands..steaming hot... we have Gerry Butler, complete with a drawling Scottish accent to sweep you off your feet. And green eyes, and ... *sigh* muscles........ Available for a limited time only. Rio adds: ....Too late, you missed it, and we called him!!! And by the way, he's "steaming hot" no matter what the weather! Vi adds: I'll need him this winter... :D Rio adds: Eh, I'll find a way to get chilly this summer, too! Vi concurs.
